Microsoft Surface costs upwards of ?399
?559 for the premium 64 GB model, ?109 for the type cover.

Microsoft just launched pre-orders for it's tablet/laptop hybrid thing Surface, due next week upon the Windows 8 launch on 26th October.
The basic 32 GB model without a cover costs £399 / $499, while the same model bundled with the default black touch cover comes in at £479 / $599, and a 64 GB Surface with the black touch cover is a whopping £559 / $699.
Additionally, the Surface type cover costs £109 / $129.99.
