Xbox One plays catch up in Japan with solid launch line-up
But no Watch Dogs.
Microsoft has unveiled its line-up of Xbox One software for the console's Japanese launch on 9th September.
The 29 titles on offer include the vast majority of 2014's biggest titles, along with those available back at the console's initial launch last November in North America and parts of Europe.
Titanfall, Call of Duty: Ghosts and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes top the bill, although the latter will only be available as a download title in Japan, Famitsu reported (thanks, Kotaku).
One notable omission is Watch Dogs, which still holds a TBA date.
As in the West, Japan will see the launch of Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection before the year is out. Key third party titles such as Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Dragon Age: Inquisition will also feature.
Xbox One consoles will be available in three bundles at launch. A Day One version of the console will come packaged with Titanfall and Kinect Sports plus a Kinect sensor. Priced at 49,980 yen (about £287), it saves around £70 on buying everything separately. Cheaper bundles include the console just with Kinect, or an even cheaper version for those who don't want the sensor included.
