Mark Kart still atop podium in Japan
No GTA IV to bump it off.
Mario Kart Wii has whistled past the finishing line ahead of the Japanese chart-pack again this week, adding another 150,000 sales toward its 1 million goal.
That's according to Media Create data, which saw ridiculously popular PSP game Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G hold on at two and steam towards an impressive 2 million sales of its own.
Fresh entries came from the intriguing watercolour-inspired Valkyria Chronicles for PS3 at three, Taiko Drum Master DS: Seven Island Adventure at four, and Summon Night at five.
Wii Fit took six and kept up its steady momentum towards the 2 million sales figure - which it should break in the next few weeks - and We're Fossil Diggers was at seven.
Pokemon Ranger: Batonnage, DS Beautiful Letter Training and Musou Orochi: The Evil King Returns completed the top ten list.
Two Xbox 360 titles managed to break into the top 30 this week, with Rainbow Six Vegas 2 taking 11 and Frontlines: Fuel of War at 26.
Elsewhere Capcom had a disappointing first week with Phoenix Wright 4, which only managed to get to 27.
The full top ten is as follows:
- Mario Kart Wii (Wii)
- Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (PS)
- Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)
