Just Dance 2 a record-breaker on Wii
Best-selling third-party Wii game ever.
Just Dance 2 is the best-selling third-party Wii game of all time, Ubisoft has announced.
The franchise has sold 14 million units worldwide to date.
"Ubisoft is incredibly proud of the monumental success Just Dance 2 has had the past nine months," Ubisoft's US boss Laurent Detoc said.
"The game's outstanding performance solidifies the Just Dance brand as a pop culture phenomenon."
Just Dance 2's staying power has been remarkable. The game, which launched in October last year, was the tenth best-selling game in the US in June 2011. It was the 30th best-selling game in the UK last week.
Unfortunately Ubisoft failed to provide sales figures for Just Dance 2, but it now beats Sega's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, part of a series that sold 19 million copies worldwide as of April 2011.
In January Ubisoft said the Wii floor-filler had sold more than five million copies worldwide since launch. At the time the franchise had spent an impressive 45 weeks in the UK top 10.
