Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm is working on a new DC superhero brawler called Injustice: Gods Among Us, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has announced.
Due for release sometime in 2013 on PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360, it sees various DC characters going toe to toe, including Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash and Wonder Woman.
The game's tag line is "What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat?".
According to the announcement blurb, it'll be "set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred".
"We can't wait to reveal Injustice: Gods Among Us because it will give our fans and gamers an epic experience as they battle like gods as their favorite DC Comics villains and heroes," commented NetherRealm boss and Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon.
"Our team is excited to make a fighting game that is filled with fast-paced action, incredible story-telling and iconic DC Comics characters."
