How to get Ore and farm Ore in Palworld
Where to find this resource and the best Ore farming locations.
Learning how to get Ore in Palworld will go a long way towards making your time catching Pals and battling baddies that much easier. Ore is a key resource when it comes to crafting a lot of useful items, such as a Meat Cleaver weapon or an Eikthyrdeer's Saddle.
However, in Palworld you can't really use Ore in its raw form. It only becomes useful when you manage to get your hands on Ingots - and that's precisely what we're going to show you how to do.
Without further ado, here's how to get Ore in Palworld, how to make Ingotsand the best Ore farming locations we've found so far.

How to get Ore in Palworld
To get Ore in Palworld you need to find an Ore deposit and attack it. The deposit looks almost exactly like any other rock that you come across. However, an ore deposit will sparkle and is slightly lighter in colour or shinier than other rocks.
We recommend that you make a Pick Axe at your crafting bench to use on the Ore deposits as it makes it far easier to get more out of it at once.
We also found that we had more luck tracking down Ore deposits inside dungeons (caves) - so if you're not coming across any above ground, we advise making some preparations and heading inside a dunegon instead.
Be careful though, Ore is extremely heavy and can easily weigh you down. We recommend going Ore hunting while carrying only the basics you'll need for survival to ensure you can collect as much as possible in one go.
Best Ore farming locations in Palworld
To farm Ore in Palworld you need to find a rich deposit of this resource, build a base there and assign the right Pals to mine it for you.
So far, we've found that one of the best Ore farming locations in Palworld is on Mount Obsidian at the coordinates (-537, -477). The exact point is south west of the Midpoint fast travel statue and we've marked its exact location on the map below for you:
This region is extremely hot, so we recommend creating some heat resistant armor before attempting to build a base here for farming. There are typically quite a few Ore deposits that spawn in the small area, so if you place your base strategically you can cover most of the deposits.
One of the other best Ore farming locations is north east of Desolate Church at the coordinates (67, -408). We've marked its exact location on the map below for you and it's conveniently close to the Desolate Church fast travel statue:
You'll find a small group of Ore deposits underneath the large rock formation here stretching into the sky. This is a good location to go to if you're still near the beginning of your time in Palworld.
When you've chosen somewhere to set up your base and you've built all the items you'll need to keep your worker Pals happy (including some storage boxes), you then need to assign Pals with the Mining and Transporting ability to the base.
You can check if your Pal has one or both of these abilities by looking at their details in your Palbox:
Once you do this, your Pals should automatically begin mining the Ore if there aren't any other jobs around for them to do. If they start to stray, pick them up and throw them at an Ore deposit to assign them to that specific one.
How to make Ingots in Palworld
To make Ingots in Palworld you need to have a Furnace and Ore. You can unlock a Primitive Furnace once your character reaches level 10 and you have three Technology Points via the Technology menu.
Once you've built your Furnace, interact with the menu and select the Ingot from it. You should already have the recipe there if you've collected Ore. To make one Ingot you need two pieces of Ore.
Then, either assign a Pal that can run the Furnace (such as Foxparks) or interact with it for the alloted time to create your Ingot!
