Frontier returns to rollercoasters with ScreamRide for Xbox One
Exclusive game looks like Rollercoaster Tycoon in the future - with destruction.
Elite developer Frontier is returning to its other long-standing passion - rollercoasters - with ScreamRide, an Xbox One-exclusive game due for release next spring.
Frontier made the first three, much-loved Rollercoaster Tycoon games and their expansions, but the Rollercoaster Tycoon brand is now owned by Atari and is currently gracing a dispiriting mobile game.
ScreamRide takes the build-your-own-coaster action to the near future and includes physics simulation gameplay that allows you to fling cars - and their occupants - off the tracks, destroy huge structures, and even alter the laws of gravity.
The game's announcement trailer, below, paints the whole thing as some sort of oddly cruel social experiment. Intriguing!
