First DSi-only cartridge game surfaces
Monster Finder uses cam to find monsters.
It begins. The first full retail game - as opposed to DSiWare download - that will only work on DSi has been announced. It's called Monster Finder, and it's being developed by Alpha Unit for a Japanese release.
The reason for exclusivity to the latest version of Nintendo's world-conquering handheld is that Monster Finder uses the DSi's camera to find and capture monsters before pitting them against each other in battle. There will be over 100 monster designs by the pen of Matsuda, according to Andriasang.
Sounds like a cross between Pokemon, Monster Hunter and Sony's forthcoming PSP camera game Invizimals. Monster Finder is due out this winter in Japan.
