Fire Emblem Three Houses romance options list and S-Support relationships explained
Who you can romance as male or female Byleth in Fire Emblem Three Houses.
Now a series tradition, Fire Emblem: Three House romances allow you to pair your main character with another character to form a relationship.
Though you are able to pair other characters together to form a romantic relationship, but this page will focus solely on Byleth getting in on the action.
The Support system shows your relationship with each Fire Emblem: Three Houses character, each one ranging from C to S, with S-Support being the highest rank in the game.
S-Support (in the vast majority of cases) indicates a romantic pairing - including the chance of getting married - between the main hero Byleth and the character in question.
Not all characters are available as an S-Support, however, so knowing which to pursue might be useful for how best to spend your time.

How Fire Emblem: Three Houses romance options and S-Support relationships work
There are several things to know about the S-Support support system and romances in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, with some slight spoilers to when it comes to the game's structure:
- To reach S-Support status with your chosen character, have Byleth interact with them as much as possible, both in and out of battle.
- S-Support pairings are not possible during the first 'phase' of the game. There is a point in the story where the structure of the game shifts, and when this second phase then ends, you are then able to be involved with your chosen S-Support.
- Because of this, there is no ability to have children with any S-Support characters in Fire Emblem Three Houses.
- You can't miss choosing your S-Support, so don't worry = the game will let you know when you can make that important decision.
- If you want to see which S-Support relationships are available in-game, then view the 'Support' area of the menu:
- If a House Leaders can be romanced, they are only available as an S-Support if you choose to join their House at the start of the game.
- Though in Fire Emblem S-Support usually means a romantic relationship - including several same-sex relationships - several discussions on reddit (started by beescarf and LordTickles192 say this is not the case for male S-Support Alois and Gilbert.
