Immortalis boss fight
The boss battle follows immediately after beating Sins of the Father and the Barbarus boss, and though there is no save point, there is a checkpoint between encounters you will return to if you fail to make the finish line.
The Immortalis boss comes in three parts, but the number one rule between all three is - hold on to the trigger and keep shooting, no matter what. You have unlimited ammo, and the timing for certain segments can be on the tight side, so you want to be inflicting as much damage as possible.
The first part is simple - shoot the head of the metal beast as it follows you and smashes through the mountains. Keep up the damage, and the action will quickly cut to Arenea on the snowmobile to trigger the next phase.
Second, you have to shoot the glowing segments on the outside of the front of the beast. These fire projectiles your way if you leave them too long, so you want to be attacking each one as fast as possible.
This section was one we failed for not keeping on top of them properly, and be wary some glowing segments will be 'hidden' as the head spins round under the snow, so make sure you keep an eye on them as they emerge again.
Need more help? Our Final Fantasy 15 guide and walkthrough can provide tips on main story, as well as the open-world's many quests and activities. Learning how to get AP fast, EXP fast and money or Gil fast will aid you in many optional dungeons and tombs - including how to open and explore their locked doors. There's also plenty of interesting side-quests, too, such as the Scraps of Mystery and Professors Protege frog locations. And if you want to get around easier, you can rent a Chocobo, learn the infinite sprint trick and later in the game, get the flying car Regalia Type F. There's also more to see and do with DLC, such as Episode Gladiolus and Episode Prompto.
How to beat the Magitek Monstrosity and Magitek Core
The final segment - with a new objective of destroying the Magitek Core of the Magitek Monstrosity - sees the beast narrow its segments tightly around the centre, and at the end, raise up in the air.
Simply aim in the middle and keep hammering away. Zooming in might help here to make sure you stay on target, and if you're pilled in enough bullets, should inflict enough damage to complete the tense finisher.
With that done, the DLC is over, with an ending and post-credits stinger:
You'll then be told you'll have unlocked a few new modes - Time Trial and Intensive Training - as well as unlocking the Lion Heart weapon and the Tundra Attire for Prompto to take into the main game, as well as the Trigger Happy Bullet Art for future replays of Episode Prompto. Congratulations!
