Fez dev: PC and PSN "would make sense"
But WiiWare can "f*** off".
Any PC or PlayStation 3 users who've checked out the delightful trailer for forthcoming Xbox Live Arcade platformer Fez have justifiable cause to feel more than a little jealous.
Well, developer Polyton has offered a ray of hope that the forthcoming title might be going multi-platform in the future.
"Right now we're only concentrating on XBLA, which makes the most sense for us at the time," the game's co-creator Phil Fish told Destructoid.
"PC and PSN would also make a lot of sense, but in my opinion, WiiWare just wouldn't be worth our time and effort. It's a dismal system that I don't want to deal with neither as a customer, nor a developer. No demos? F*** off."
He apparently went on to clarify that he was aware that Nintendo had recently started offering a limited WiiWare demo service, but pointed out that many devs aren't offered the opportunity or, if they are, it's only for a short period of time.
Fish also ruled out a 3DS port. "That would just have to be a completely different game. If I'm going to make a game that uses stereoscopic graphics, it's gonna be built from the ground up for that."
As it stands, Fez is due to land on Xbox Live Arcade later this year.
