Fallout TV series launch date revealed
Amazon show drops April 2024.
Stand by, Fallout fans - there's only a few months left for you to stay in your bunkers before the Amazon Prime Fallout TV series debuts in April next year.
A brief teaser video posted to X, formerly Twitter, reveals the Fallout series release date: 12th April 2024.
(Of course, this date is written in the American style, so 4/12/24. But good news, it isn't debuting next December.)
Today's teaser features the franchise's iconic Pip-Boy graphics, alongside a stream of computer code which I'm sure Fallout fans are combing through right now for Easter eggs.
We previously knew that Fallout: The Series was set to launch at some point in 2024, but not when.
The show was first announced by Amazon back in 2020, and since then we've seen a steady stream of on-set photos appear online, as well as the news that Twin Peaks' Kyle MacLachlan, Yellowjackets' Ella Purnell, and The Shield's Walton Goggins are all part of the cast.
August this year brought a brief minute-long sneak peek as part of a Starfield presentation at Gamescom. The footage was recorded in not-great quality, but you can make out some typically apocalyptic-looking scenary, ghouls and the T-45 power armour.
Amazon itself has kept fairly schtum on the details, though has confirmed its Fallout series will detail what became of Vault 33, located in Los Angeles, after the bombs fell.
So, April next year then! Only six months to go - hope you all have enough tinned goods to last until then.
