Fallout 3 versions to launch together
"That's our plan," says exec producer.
Bethesda Softworks hopes to release Fallout 3 on PC, 360 and PS3 simultaneously, according to executive producer Todd Howard.
"They should all be the same date," Howard told videogaming247. "That's our plan."
That's good news then, particularly for PS3 owners who have come to expect delays, and given The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's period of PC/360 exclusivity.
Fallout 3 is a massive multiformat RPG in which the player, a young survivor in a post-apocalyptic USA, leaves the shelter of a small community in Washington D.C. to try and track down his father.
It has big, half-melted boots to fill with its doubtless-webbed feet, given the series' considerable reputation.
Recently the developer has commented on the size of the game world in relation to Oblivion, and it also tells vg247 that the quoted figure of 12 possible endings is "artificially inflated" given that "some of those tweaks to the ending are pretty small".
