European registration for the PlayStation online network is now open on the official website.

The PlayStation 3 online network is Sony's big attempt to rest dominance of the online console plaudits from Microsoft, whose Xbox Live service is currently 482* times better. (* figures compiled by Picking A Number In My Head).

Self confessed "semi official" PlayStation website Three Speech leaked the news of sign-up page availability earlier this week when they discovered that reserving your ideal ID was already possible.

So hurry, then, because you might still be able to reserve "Terminator", or "|\/|070R|31K35" in preparation for the console's launch in March. Or "alliwantforxmasisapsp" maybe.
