Edmund McMillen announces surreal police sim Fingered
Due next week on Steam for $1.87.
The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy co-creator Edmund McMillen has unveiled a new game with the surreal police sim Fingered.
Due 18th August on PC via Steam, Fingered puts players in the role of a cop who must decide if some randomly generated suspects are guilty of the crime they're accused of.
The game's description on Steam and its abstract trailer suggest that you're not the sanest of cops and have an itchy index finger just waiting to get its Phoenix Wright on. Only instead of defending the innocent, you're drawn to damning the guilty - and possibly not-so-guilty. Can you resist the urge to lock up your fellow man?
"Fingered is a 'whodunit' hyper-realisic police sim where you must finger the guilty and clean up this darn city using the descriptions of the local busy bodies," the developer said on Steam. "But everyone's perspective is different: one man's fat is another man's sexy! Will you put an end to all crime in America with the electric finger of the law?!"
The game will feature "21 levels of confusion, a few billion randomly generated people to finger/murder, barking, loads of secret celebs to murder" and more.
Amusingly, Fingered will only cost $1.87 (187 is the California Penal Code for homicide, you see.)
