COD Classic for PSN/XBLA "eventually"
Pack-in to get separate release one day.
Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward has confirmed to IGN that Call of Duty Classic will be released as a standalone game on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade after it's made available with the Hardened and Prestige editions of Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty Classic is a port of the original Call of Duty, originally released for PC only in 2003. It will be offered as a free download with the limited editions of the new game.
"Prestige and Hardened Edition buyers will be getting access to Call of Duty: Classic first. It'll eventually be coming out for both Xbox Live Arcade and PSN as a stand-alone arcade game," said community manager Robert Bowling.
"However, price and release date are unknown at this point. It's the true original Call of Duty including full multiplayer," he added.
The £120 Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2 also comes with night vision goggles, a bust, an art book, and the metal-cased Harderend version of the game itself. 10th November is the date for all versions.
