Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Nuketown map now free for all
Better late than never.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Nuketown map is now free to all players - four months after the game came out.
The Nuketown Personalisation Pack is available to download on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It includes a Nuketown-themed weapon camo, three Nuketown-themed weapon reticles, and a Nuketown-themed calling card.
Nuketown was a GAME-exclusive pre-order bonus in the UK - if you bought the physical standard edition.
The map sparked controversy last year because many customers thought all who pre-ordered Treyarch's first-person shooter would get Nuketown.
Last year we reported on an official marketing trailer that mentioned Nuketown as a pre-order bonus, but it was the easy-to-miss small print buried at the bottom of the image at the end of the video that specified GAME had nabbed it as an exclusive.
We also reported on Activision's official customer support website which had said "all players" who pre-ordered were guaranteed the map. But following our report, Activision changed the wording to specify the need to pre-order with "participating retailers".
Now Nuketown is available to all for free, Activision has added it to the main map rotation. So you have the chance to face-off on Nuketown in all multiplayer playlists.
