Bravely Default 2 announced for Nintendo Switch
Back for thirds.
A third game in the Bravely Default series has been announced, and a little confusingly it's named Bravely Default 2.
That's because this is a wholly separate sequel to the original two games. It will feature a new world, new characters and new story. Think of the first two 3DS games as a Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2, then, and this as its whole new thing.
But it is still a Bravely Default game, made by the Bravely Default and Octopath Traveller team at Square Enix with a soundtrack by Revo. Expect party-based RPG antics and a sprawling world to explore when it arrives for Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Our very first - and very brief - look at Bravely Default 2's new setting and heroes came as part of a trailer released during The Game Awards last night.
