Borderlands 3's Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite "scaled" event is back next week
Event goes live on 16th January.
Did you jump on Borderlands 3's Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite event but found it too tricky to complete with an incomplete squad? You're not alone. That's why Gearbox is finally releasing a scaled event for those who were "having a hard time making progress or finding a party".
Scheduled to go live on 16th January 2020 - a little later than anticipated - you'll have until the end of the month to get it completed. After that, it goes back "to its intended difficulty level".
"Thank you everyone for your patience as we work on the scaled Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite event," the developer said on its official website. "We were unable to bring it to you during New Years, but we are looking to start the event next week!
"From January 16 to January 30, you'll be able to look forward to a slightly easier Takedown as you aim to grab as much of that loot as you can! If you've wanted to experience Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite but were having a hard time making progress or finding a party, this is the perfect opportunity to jump in and wreak havoc on Maliwan's most elite soldiers and robots. After January 30, we're bringing the event back up to its intended difficulty level."
In related news, the developer has also recently issued a hotfix to address "various concerns reported by players", including issues with bonuses not applying during FL4K's Furious Attack, a concern that Rakkcelerate was sometimes not applying the cooldown modifier as stated on the skill's description, and Cheap Tip's total weapon shield capacity was sometimes not appearing in the tooltip on the item card. The team has also addressed a bug that saw The Arbalest of Discipline spawning with just shields.
