BioWare reveals Mass Effect 4 details, early footage
Set in "a whole new region of space".
BioWare has just shown off a sneak peek at Mass Effect 4, currently in development at its Montreal studio.
The title will be set in "a whole new region of space", but looking at concept art and in-engine visuals, familiar elements remain.
A helmeted human character in an N7 uniform was shown, as was a krogan warrior.
Several large, alien environments were shown - fitting (but not confirming) rumours that the title will again support vehicular exploration.
It looks like you'll once again be using a Galaxy Map to traverse through space, with solar systems now laid out in a more fluid way (and it sounds like the classic Galaxy Map music is back, too).
"What fans told us most about what they want in the next Mass Effect game is to go somewhere new, to move forward," BioWare said, possibly hinting at a game set after the original Mass Effect trilogy.
There's still no confirmation of a release date, launch platforms or even a name - for now.
