Beautiful 2D animated point-and-click adventure Lilly Looking Through now on Steam Greenlight
New trailer shows off the sumptuous visuals.
Upcoming point-and-click adventure Lilly Looking Through may not be especially well known, but that didn't stop it from nearly doubling its Kickstarter goal last year. And it's no wonder, given its exquisite visual style by artist/game designer Steve Hoogendyk and his wife Jessica, both of whom worked in Hollywood on such franchises as Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia.
Now, developer Geeta Games has placed the lavish indie on Steam Greenlight, where I'm sure it will flourish in no time. To kick off this campaign, the developer has released a gorgeous new trailer showing off Lilly Looking Through in all its glory.
While Lilly Looking Through isn't due until later this autumn, there's already a demo available for PC, Mac and Linux. It's quite charming and the puzzles are well thought out, but it really needs an option to skip animations that you've seen before. Hopefully this will be added prior to the final release. It's still worth checking out, I reckon, if only for the animations alone.
