Battleborn release date delayed until May
NBA 2K16 shifts 4m copies in a week.
Gearbox's upcoming competitive first-person shooter Battleborn has been delayed until 3rd May, publisher Take-Two Interactive revealed in its latest financial report.
It was previously gunning for a 9th February release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The upcoming shooter pits up to two teams of five against each other across three competitive modes. The full game will launch with 25 characters and a campaign mode that can be tackled either solo or in up to five-player co-op. There will even be a splitscreen option for up to two players per screen.
Q3 was a good quarter for Take-Two, as its non-GAAP revenue grew to $364.9m, a 169 per cent increase over the $135.4m it made the same quarter last year. The report noted that its biggest grossers were NBA 2K16, a Spike Lee joint which sold-in 4m units in its first week on sale, along Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online, NBA 2K15, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
