Auto Club Revolution has console physics
Racing MMO's cars, matchmaking detailed.
MMO racer Auto Club Revolution uses the same physics engine developer Eutechn designed for console games.
The same physics model used "across a range of published console game titles" will be employed. Which console games in particular? Eutechn has not specified, although the studio recently made the liscensed Nascar racing series.
The developer has also revealed an initial list of 15 cars, playable in the game's beta, which launches next month.
Each car has its own Vehicle Performance Rating (VPR), a value between 100 and 999 measuring the cars' accurate overall performance. Top speed, handling, braking, cornering and acceleration are taken in consideration.
Upgrade your ride and its VPR gets a boost. Auto Club Revolution uses the rating to match-make similar players online.
