Assassin's Creed Origins - The Lizard's Mask and The Lizard's Face
Everything you need to know about stealthing and stabbing your way along the Nile.
The Lizard's Mask and The Lizard's Face and are the ninth and tenth quests you'll encounter in Assassin's Creed Origins, which have you tackle some cow trouble and a troublesome priest, and follow on from Aya II and The Hyena.
We'll cover everything you need to know about completing The Lizard's Mask and The Lizard's Face below, while you can head back to our main Assassin's Creed Origins walkthrough and guide hub for all the other missions so far, and more.
The Lizard's Mask
Head to Memphis and speak to Pasherenptah. He's got cow trouble, and his wife's not feeling too great either; after a cutscene he'll send you to the seer's house, and things are about to get weird. Follow the seer's instructions to start the ritual, and you'll suddenly come over all peculiar…
Head down the slope past the giant statues, and after another cutscene you'll acquire a bow and some arrows made of light, and you'll need to take down - you have infinite ammo and the bow fires about as fast as you can pull the trigger, and you're going to need it to defeat Apep, the giant snake.
The fight is in two phases; the process throughout the fight remains the same, but for the second half you'll have a lot less ground to stand on so if you fall in the water get out quickly - it'll kill you after a few seconds. Keep your bow readied as much as possible as it takes a while to bring into position, and spam arrows at the snake as fast as you can.
Once you've defeated it swim towards the light and you'll end up in a cornfield. Head forwards, and your son will appear in the distance, and then disappear and rematerialise a bit further ahead; keep moving towards him until the ordeal is over.
When you step outside the seer's house Aya will be waiting for you. Grab a nearby boat and take her along the canal to the temple where you'll have to look into the Apis Bull's illness. Examine the bull, the bowl on his pedestal, and the food nearby, then talk to the stable hand. Once he's given you the info, smash the door to the feed store and examine the items on the floor, then speak to Aya.
Head towards where Panchrates is being held, then use Senu to pinpoint his location; he's being held on the south side of the compound and is closely guarded and you'll need to carry him out after rescuing him, so your only option is to eliminate all the guards - we'd suggest taking out as many as you can from the relative safety of the walls before facing any stragglers head on.
Return him home, and the mission will end after Aya appears and talks to you.

The Lizard's Face
Speak to Aya, and she'll challenge you to a horse race. It's a straight run, so as long as you avoid running into too many pedestrians you should beat her easily despite her yelling about how much you suck all the way.
Next Up: The Crocodile's Scales
After the cutscene head towards the marker and use Senu to locate the five priests. Only one of them is your target, and he can be identified by his coughing and his blue outfit; the coughing didn't seem to be particularly reliable for us, but other than feeling a bit guilty about it there doesn't seem to be a penalty for getting the wrong guy so if you're not 100% certain which one to go for, just do it through a process of elimination.
