Animal Crossing International Museum Day 2021: Stamp rally and plaque rewards in New Horizons explained
Blathers is certainly having fun.
International Museum Day is dedicated to celebrating the beautiful museums across the world and, like May Day, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is joining the festivities with it's own holiday event.
Blathers is running a stamp rally at the Museum and, by exploring the galleries, you'll be able to find a variety of stamp stations.
For every stamp collection you complete, Blathers will reward you with a special plaque that you can use to decorate your house.
If you completed the Stamp Rally in 2020, you can use this as an opportunity to add more plaques to your collection, along with the Art Plaque, which, due to the Art Gallery not being in-game at the time, was unavailable last year.

How to start International Museum Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons explained
If you want to celebrate Museum Day in New Horizons, then you, of course, need to head to the Museum.
Have a chat with Blathers once you arrive and he'll tell you that the Museum is running a stamp rally to celebrate this event.
In the Art, Bug, Fossil and Fish galleries you'll be able to find three stamp stations and, once you've collected all three stamps from a gallery, you'll earn yourself a cool reward.
You can partake and complete the stamp rally without having to open the art gallery for the museum, but you won't be able to earn the reward for the Art Gallery's stamp rally.

International Museum Day dates in Animal Crossing: New Horizons explained
The Stamp Rally for International Museum Day runs from the 18th May to 31st May. It will both start and end at 5am, which is the reset time for every island.
Presumably these dates will remain the same when International Museum Day returns in future years.
If you want to celebrate International Museum Day, however, you must first ensure that you've downloaded the latest patch for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which you should be prompted to do when you start the game.
This update contains a variety of new features, including Redd, the art gallery for the Museum and the ability to grow bushes on your island.
May 18th may be the official start for the International Museum Day celebration, but that doesn't mean you have to partake in this event on that day. Just ensure that you complete the event before it ends or you'll have to wait till next year.
