Marriage comes to Allods Online
Same-sex marriage for Europe.
The official release of Allods Online brings with it a patch full of new content and tweaks.
The game now features around 2000 quests and a choice of eight classes, as well as an expansion of the Astral areas. The level cap has also been increased to 47 and players will have two new zones to progress through: The Isle of Revelation and Kirah.
Players can now also opt to marry in-game, providing a boost to maximum health along with an ability to resurrect their soul-mates should they fall in battle. Unique to the European version of the game, players of the same sex will be able to marry.
Tweaks have also been made to the item shop since the game first launched. Players no longer have to pay their way through death-fatigue, while cash purchases are restricted to vanity and cosmetic items.
Quintin Smith reviewed Allods Online in April last year, awarding the game a 6/10.
"There are reasons to play Allods: the visuals, the lore, the grab-bag of clever features, the astral ships, and the dim satisfaction that automatically comes from levelling up - for free!" he noted. "It's just that none of these are very good reasons, because this isn't a very good game."
With a year of refinement under the developer's belt, Allods is starting to look a little more compelling.
