10 years later, Runescape's Lost City of the Elves finally opens its doors
Welcome to Prifddinas.
Jagex has opened the doors of an Elf City in Runescape that had been locked for 10 years.
Prifddinas is described as the high-level content capital of the long-running massively multiplayer online role-playing game Runescape. It has been in the game - but locked - for 10 years. Now, finally, players can explore its innards.
Inside are new areas to explore and new characters to talk to. There are four clan-controlled districts available, each with unique quests and battles. Jagex aims to double the amount of content available in the city by the end of 2014.
"This was, by far, the most desirable piece of content for our fans and we're delighted to offer them the keys to this new kingdom today," Runescape chief Phil Mansell said.
