DePaul freshman Marrero to miss season after tearing ACL in right knee during practice
CHICAGO – DePaul freshman DeJuan Marrero will miss the season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
The school says he was injured Wednesday at practice and an MRI on Thursday confirmed the tear.
The 6-foot-5 Marrero averaged 20 points and 14 rebounds as a senior while leading Bowman Academy in Gary, Ind., to a Class 2A state runner-up finish.
