John Wick Hex is Keanu Reeves Meets XCOM in New Game by Mike Bithell

The boogeyman comes to Epic Games Store.

Indie game developer Mike Bithell is taking a stab at John Wick with a new strategy game, John Wick Hex. Based on the film series starring Keanu Reeves, John Wick Hex lets players strategically murder goons like the professional assassin.

John Wick Hex was developed in cooperation with the stunt teams from the film series, so players can expect the same dedication to fight choreography and "gun fu." As a strategy game, players must choose every action and attack beforehand, then let it play out in real time. False moves will lead to consequences but making correct decisions will earn you a clean execution.

John Wick Hex features an original story created just for the game, which is good Breaking News Updates | Latest News Headlines | Photos & News Videos since the John Wick series has such a weird universe ripe for exploration. Actors from the film like Ian McShane and Lance Reddick will reprise their roles from the film as the owner and concierge of The Continental hotel respectively. Check out the first trailer below.

Basically, it's XCOM meets John Wick for John Wick Hex. If you're a fan of excellently choreographed fight scenes and the strategy of turn-based RPGs, consider checking out John Wick Hex. There's no release date yet, but John Wick Hex is coming to PC and Mac via the Epic Games Store, as well as consoles.

The next film in the John Wick series is John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. It will be in theaters on May 17, though it sounds like the game won't be out in time for the film's release.
